PABLO POLLITZER
Singer, conductor,  voice teacher

He graduated from the National  University of Arts in Buenos Aires (Argentina)

and in the Instituto Superior de Arte  from the Teatro Colón.

 He perfected himself in the baroque and classical repertoire in Argentina, Italy, Switzerland

and Germany.

He was selected by competition to carry out advanced courses with the teachers Aldo Baldin,

Ernst Haefliger, Renata Paroussel, Thomas Quasthoff and Denisse Dupleix.

In 1989 he won the First Prize in the contest organized by the Musical Promotions Association.

He obtained the Second Prize in the Mozart Biennial Contest organized by Musical Festivals of

Buenos Aires in 1991, with the jury being Mrs. Haether Harper.

He was a finalist in the International Competition Toti Dal Monte in the city of Treviso (Italy)

in 1996. He made his debut as a soloist singing the “Mass in B minor” by J. S. Bach. Since then

and throughout his career, he dedicated himself especially to the music of Oratorio

having sung, among others, the following works: "Johannes Passion" "Matheus Passion”

“Weihnachtsoratorium”, “Magnificat” and various Bach Cantatas, “The Messiah” by Haendel,

“Stabat Mater”, “Mass of St. Cecilia”, “Mass Cellensis” and “Mass Harmony” by J. Haydn,

“Coronation Mass”, “Mass in C minor” and “Requiem” by WA Mozart,

“Mass in La de C. Frank”, and “Christmas Oratory” by Saint -Saëns.

In opera, he debuted with the role of Ernesto in “Don Pasquale” by G. Donizetti,

at the Teatro Colón in Mar del Plata. The following year he sang Nemorino by “L’elisir d’amore”

by Donizetti in the same theater and in the Salón Dorado of the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires.

He played the role of Lindoro by “Il barbiere di Siviglia” by Rossini in the theatre of the Círculo

in Rosario,the Belfiore of the “La finta giardiniera” by Mozart, at the Municipal Theater of

Bahía Blanca. He participated in the Let's go to opera cycle of the Konex Foundation

performing the roles of Tamino and Monostat of Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte", Ramiro of

"La Cenerentola" and Lindoro of "La italiana en Argel" by Rossini, all of them at the Cervantes

National Theater, re-singing the Tamino for that same cycle at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

He also sang for the Juventus Lyrica cycle, at the Teatro Avenida, the role of Conte D'Almaviva

from "Il baribiere di Siviglia" by Rossini, Kaspar from "Amhal and the visitors of the night"

by Menotti, and Orfeo from "Le descend d’Orphée aux enfers" by Charpentier.

In the same theater he sang in the lyrical show "Pasiones de ópera", obtaining in all

cases laudatory criticism from the press.

For the official season of the Colón theater debuted at “Wozzeck” by Alban Berg. From then

on he participated in the seasons, in the titles "La venganza de Don Mendo" by E. Mastronardi,

"La ciudad ausente " by G. Gandini, "L'incoronazione di Poppea" by C. Monteverdi, "Doña

Francisquita" by A. Vives, "Il Tabarro" by G. Puccini, "Fedora" by Giordano, "L’Orfeo" by Monteverdi,

"Les indies galantes"by Rameau,  the leading roles Renaud from the opera "Armida" by Gluck

and Luzio from the opera "Das liebesverbot" by Wagner, among others.

He also sang in the following productions: "L'incoronazione di Poppea" by Monteverdi. (Bs As.

Lirica), "Les Danaides" by Salieri and "Ifigenie en Táuride" by Gluck, (Music Festivals) "Le nozze di

Figaro" by Mozart (Theatre Argentino of La Plata); "Satyricon" by Bruno Maderna (Theatre San

Martín), "Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria" by Monteverdi (B. A Lyrica), "Don Giovanni" by Mozart

(Theatre Roma de Avellaneda), "La casa sin sosiego" by Gerardo Gandini, "Le comte Ory" by

Rossini (Juventus Lyrica).

 He also specializes in chamber music, having sung innumerable concerts in the most

important halls of the country, and abroad. He made the original version of the cycle "Die

schöne müllerin" by Schubert for singing and romantic guitar with staging, as well as

Schumann's "Dichterliebe" cycle,making tours and obtaining the praise of the specialized critics.

In 1998 he made his debut in Italy singing in the opera "Il ritorno d‘Ulisse in Patria" by

Monteverdi in a production of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. Since then he travels assiduously

to Europe, performing baroque, classical and chamber music. He has sung in the following

countries: Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Finland, Estonia, Brazil,

Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Ecuador, Peru and Mexico.

He sang  with the Chamber Opera of the Teatro Colón in the following productions:  

“Mahagonny songspiel” by K. Weil, “The diary of one who disappeared” by Janaceck,

“Teatro de los milagros” by Henze,  that were held in Buenos Aiers, Chile and Mexico in 2016.

Also he sang in “The mad women” by B. Britten the principal role whit the company Lirica Lado B.

And in the show “Non ti scordar di me” with de company Enhorabuena!

He sang also many french baroque operas with de Compañía de las Luces, like "Le bourgois

gentilhomme" by Lully, "Castor et Pollux", "Hippolyte et Aricie" and "Platée" by Rameau, "David et

Jonathas" by Charpentier, among others.

He has several records on CD: Misa Brevis by Mozart, “Saint Cecilia’s Mass”  by Haydn ,

"Matheus Passion"  by Bach (Evangelist), the latter obtaining a special UNESCO Prize,

“Il ritorno di Ulises in patria”, and “Vespro della Beata Vergine”, both by Monteverdi,

as well as different recordings of Latin American baroque music.

He also sang in innumerable concerts of chamber music and symphonic-choral music,

in the most important halls of the country. Among these performances, he stands out as an

interpreter of the works of Bach and in his specialty as Evangelist of the Passions and the

Christmas Oratory.

In 2014 he sang "Johannes Passion" by Bach with the Rio de Janeiro Symphony Orchestra. In 2015

"Matheus Passion" by Bach in the Baroque Music Festival of Córdoba, and “Weihnachtsoratorium”

by Bach with the Bahía Blanca Symphony Orchestra. In 2016 he sang Mozart's “Requiem”

with the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra and in 2018 with the Mendoza Symphony Orchestra.

In 2015 he directed Pergolesi's “Stabat Mater” in the San Benito Church, in 2016 “La sete di Cristo”

by Pasquini in the Sacra Music series in San Isidro, and in the CCK's Argentina hall, whit de

Compañía Enhorabuena! With this company he directed also in 2017 the oratorios “Jonas” and

“Jephte” by Carissimi in the show "Carissimi, territory of sacrifice” for the same cycles.

He teaches singing at the National University of Arts, at the Santa Ana Institute

and at the Old Music Career at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory.
